Canteen
The School Canteen is run by the P & C for the purpose of providing healthy and nutritional food for students at the school. It follows the National healthy eating guidelines. The school canteen operates 5 days per week for lunch orders. The Canteen operates Monday to Friday for over the counter lunch and recess sales but is closed Monday and Tuesday for recess over the counter sales. Parents can order lunches using the Flexischools online ordering system or by placing an order directly with the canteen before 9.00am. Volunteers are highly valued in the canteen and are always welcome. The most up to date menu and pricelist can be found in the Dropbox or collected from the canteen.
We have a lunch service available to our Preschool classes. The same ordering system applies however there is a Preschool Menu to order from available in the Dropbox or collected from the canteen.
Change of Contact Numbers
Contact numbers and addresses need to be kept up to date with the front office personnel. Children can be distressed unnecessarily when sickness or illness occurs and the contact number is out of date.Class Placements
Each teacher is responsible for the education and pastoral care of a class group. Students are placed in classes according to age and individual need. As students develop at different stages all classes have a range of developmental levels and abilities. All classes at Miles Franklin are single age classes, i.e. Year One, Year Two etc. Careful consideration is given to the placement of students in classes.
Contact Information
To facilitate speedy contact with parents in an emergency, any change in home or work phone numbers, home address, place of employment or name of emergency contact should be notified immediately. Student information sheets are sent home regularly to gather parent contact information for ready reference and should be returned promptly to the class teacher.
